Our main objective is to raise funds for the benefit of the children of Feering school. We organise a number of events for the children throughout the year. Examples include marathons, discos, treasure hunts and a Christmas Fayre. For the whole family there are quiz nights and separate parent functions – a great way for parents to get to know one another and get involved in the school community. In recent years the FPTA has been proud to raise funds that have benefited the children in a variety of ways. These funds have, among other things, bought science equipment, IT equipment, new whiteboards for the classrooms, football equipment, a lighting system for school plays and provided coach travel and ice-cream at the school Christmas pantomime trip. There are also a series of fundraising events taking place, see details on posters around the school and the ‘upcoming events’ pages. All parents and carers of Feering school children are welcome to join the Feering Parents and Teachers Association (FPTA), to share new ideas and fundraising suggestions and get involved in the events. Meetings are informal and friendly, providing an excellent opportunity for parents to play an active and positive part in the school community and have their say in how funds are spent.

If you would like to contact the FPTA their email address is:

Feering Primary School use Parentmail PMX as our electronic communications system to parents. Once you have registered, you will be able to make online payments, give parental consent for trips/activities, report absences etc as well as receiving all letters and correspondence from the School electronically either via email/text or the Parentmail App.

Inclement Weather Procedures

When weather conditions are poor the decision about sending children to school must be made by individual parents/carers as local conditions can vary considerably and children may travel some distance to school.

Please ensure that your children have appropriate footwear to help them on slippery paths local to the school. It is not important if footwear does not conform to our normal uniform codes as long as the children are comfortable and safe.

During snowy weather, the school will make every effort to remain open. Parents/carers should assume that the school will be open at 9am and will close at 3:15pm as normal unless they have been advised otherwise.

In the event of extreme weather (very heavy snowfall or severe ice) we will put into practice our Emergency Procedure:

1) Parents/carers will be informed via Parentmail text message and an update will be placed on our website

We will endeavour to issue notification to parents for 7:00am although this may not always be practical.

Roots to Food

Our pupils took part in a ‘Roots to Food’ cookery day where they learnt all about where food comes from and then had a chance to cook one of two delicious dishes.

Please see the link below for the recipes.
